Non-Cleat rain booties

I finally found some after trouncing around and running into nothing but dry-wear for SPD/Frogs/Look cleats.
A little on the pricey side, but I'm definitely getting some of these to throw over my everyday cycling/walking/running shoes.

my cheap alternative is taking used shopping bags and tying them on. works with spd's, cages or bmx pedals.
the problem with using a rain bootie with non-clipless shoes is that the bottom will get torn up on the surface of the pedal.

Depends on what the sole material is made of.
If it's really dense rubber like on a work-boot and neoprene or some other synthetic fabric all around, then we're in business.

Oh, and here's some DIY's I
found .
Conference bags, or other water-proof material.
I guess you could also sell some on the side too.

i bought liz these for christmas. if its wet outside your feet stay dry. if its cold outside your feet stay warm.
waterproof socks seems like they would be a no brainer in this situation, but go figure...

I thought those were home-made, sort of like cutting the tops off an old cellphone case and sewing loops to fit the strap through.

Will do, whenever I get paid next.
Tyler, did I begin to sound like I was speaking out of character or something?
I don't always talk about guns or how badly some place sucks.

Anywho, all bullshit aside, I'm looking into external booties simply for the fact that I don't feel like changing out of shoes and that I would much rather keep them dry.
While the waterproof socks are still on my list, I'm now either leaning towards a ready-made pair, or raiding a thrift shop for some used convention bags with a vinyl liner.

Waterproof socks were kind of a waste for me. The SealSkinz gloves and socks were totally worthless after a few minutes in heavy rain. And they take forever to dry. If whatever waterproof thing you put on your body allows any water in through the top, you'll have more water INSIDE the waterproof layer, than outside it. I guess those booties would be good if the top velcro strap was sealed tightly.
I have yet to find a good way to keep my feet dry on a ride longer than 20 mins in the rain...

Yeah, did the last night riding to the gym.
Too bad the hottie working at the counter at the time got all spooked out because I looked like "Hook-Man" from those "I know who you did last Summer" movies.
