The rules on pedicabs in L.A. make them pretty difficult to operate.
It'd be awesome to see somebody who was willing to go through the red tape though.

wrong.
pedi= pedes
etymology= the one who goes on foot
as in pedestrian
pedicab
the correct term would be cycle cab

i think google usually corrects misspellings
or maybe google is doing him a favor because pedicabs are a bitch to haul around.

There is a company that makes Broadway Pedicabs based in Colorado, that make the BEST pedicabs. They run in the $3,000 to $7,000 range. You'll have to factor in insurance and maintenance if you're going to get one and use it for business.
There is another company called Cyclus Maximus based out of the UK or Europe (I can't remember) that makes and awesome frame with modular additions for cargo hauling or pedicabs. They cost about the same in price.
Good luck - as pedicabs are currently illegal to operate in Los Angeles due to the LADOT being a bunch of a$%holes about it.
Want to test ride one? Stop by the Flying Pigeon LA shop (we've got one in back)
