calling all wood pushers! i know you're fuckin out there...
i might have talked to you about this last night at CM or people's
organizing a (regular?monthly?) ride hitting up mini ramps and skateparks
in l.a. trying to do the first one around new years or sooner!
just getting drunk and riding and skating.
route/spot suggestions? meet location?
-venice beach skatepark is a MUST, especially on the first ride.
-bronson ditch?
-also there's a ramp on the roof of BURTON on melrose. 6ft/7ft with a hump/spine
(soooooo hesh)
SHRED THE GNAR!!! LET'S MAKE THIS THE SICKEST RIDE ON 6 WHEELS EVER!
The idea originally was to ride as a group thru the streets of DTLA like we do on bikes....but only 4 showed up the first time so we just sorta rode around endlessly but had a good time.
I think a route would be good.

that sounds awesome in theory with the right numbers, with the right hills and one way streets
i was just talking with some people last night getting psyched on skating and thinking about how much easier it would be to bike to spots instead of skate to them.

On the subject of skating, has anyone ever heard that song by Guttermouth called "Disco Inferno"?
It was a song that clowned on rollerbladers and I last heard it back in '07 when Sirius wasn't merged with XM.
I had this idea a looooong time ago, but Barley actually did something about it! Hahaha! I made this graphic you can use if you promise to call it, "Bicykillers Presents: The Skate Ride"
Haha, kidding, but have fun! Post it in the calendar ----------------->
ATTENTION: WATCH THIS VIDEO BELOW. It's a deleted scene from Dogtown and Z-boys. It's a segment on C.R. Stecyk narrated by Stacy Peralta. This was done before Sean Penn was brought in to narrate the film.
I also wanna do a BUTTABIKE ride. Anything BUT A BIKE. razr scooters, roller blades, roller skates, skateboards...people are lazy so it'd be hard to organize.
This sounds sick .... a lot of work but tons of fun ....
www.skatevideosonline.net/ .. it has some solid classics and not so classic videos ( my classics ..The Storm, Fulfill the Dream, Mouse ..)
Is this ride still active?
I have been skating for years now, and am pretty confident to say that i know more than enough spots to skate around the whole city, and i would be glad to share them with everyone.
