...AT CM THE OTHER DAY
WTF IS UP WITH TAGGING SHIT?
OH YEAH, AND THOSE DAMN BREAKLESS KIDS WERE EVERYWHERE
I WAS SURROUNDED BY A BUNCH OF THEM GOING DOWN SUNSET
I WAS SCARED SHITLESS
SPEAKING OF CRASHES, THERE WERE A LOT OF THOSE TOO THE OTHER NIGHT
AND THAT DEATH CIRCLE WAS THE SHIT
WE NEED TO KEEP THE POSITIVE STUFF GOING
WE'LL BE ABLE TO REGULATE ON THE TAGGERS AND FAKE HIPSTERS
SOONER OR LATER
Funny that the dudes I helped fix their flat that night had not a single tool amongst them. No 15 mm wrench, no spare, no pump, no tire lever, no nothing. While I appreciate the comradery in chatting it up with other riders doing some light bike maintenance at the stops, there's something irresponsible about not being-self sufficient that bugs me.
And it's not like every ride that gets posted instructs that riders bring tools, tube, patch kit, whatever. ??
MAN STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT TAGGING..IT AINT GONNA STOP DO UR THING KEEP RIDDING AND MIND UR OWN BUSINESS.THEY WILL GET CAUGHT UP SOONER OR LATER........
Agreed it's tempting, but my Super Dudeonabike alter-ego oftentimes feels compelled to come to the aid of all those in distress. Here though, perhaps your advise should have been heeded.
I would agree with you on the basis that I myself am a fan of GRAFFITI ARTIST, but on the other hand, Pretty much every Graffiti Artist I've come across started with tagging or some sort of illegal street art. It usually just takes the person getting busted, once ( Ok I wont lie took me twice ) to realize that its not worth the fame, nor the punishment you receive in the long run. My First charge I spent a week in jail 6 months probation and countless fines and fees, my Second charge was a little more hefty, once again a week in jail, 2 yrs probation ( and keep in mind when you get probation for graffiti you cant even be caught with a pen in your backpack without being harassed) and over $2,000 in fines and including random drug screens. My last charge was over 2yrs ago and still to this day I do graffiti only keep it to my 12x6 canvas in my garage. I do miss tagging, without it i wouldn't have achieved the artistic talents I have now with a Spray can. But I do agree with the fact that it shouldn't be on the rides cause it puts people who dont even tag at risk, keep it with you friends, or if your stupid enough yourself. Ride your bike to Ride not to get to spots you would never in turn get to as fast on foot.
There thats my 2 cents on the matter, sorry for the rambling hahah!
Finally! a sane and logical person with an actual construtive thought! dude you get props from me ! your ramble is deadon! Taggers should use there skills (not all do) to create something more appealing to the eyes! instead of what sometimes looks like scribbling on the wall done by a pre-schooler!

I always ask ridazz if they need help. If I can help them, I do. I even give out tubes if someone is really looking pretty screwed and they don't have any cash. It's $4 out my pocket, but it saves someone who is stranded a world of suck, and I was that n00b once upon a time. (Most people offer to give me a few bucks for tubes, though.) I just make sure they look me in the eye when I tell them that next time I probably won't be there to bail their ass out, and you can see them kinda get it. It makes me feel good. ;p Maybe I'm just a sucker... but I ain't the sucker that's gonna get stranded out there, at least.
Start charging for repairs if it bothers you that much.
it's nice that you don't mind giving away tubes but that just means you need to carry extra for yourself.
i carry two tubes and whatever i need to fix my shit on the road.
we shouldnt have to carry extras to look after other people. if people are always handing out tools and tubes, we're just enabling them.
i wouldnt call you a sucker, but i think you're being too nice.
if someone has all their own stuff but needs a hand with something, i am more than happy to help, but these riders that don't even try to take care of themselves, thats just annoying.
when i first started riding, i was just the same as all these dummies and didnt bring shit with me. i got a flat on a ride and had to walk my ass back home. yes, it fucking sucked but the next day, i got myself a wrench, some tubes, and a pump.
