Snowboard Helmets

I really like my cousins snowboard helmet and would buy one to ride.They work the same right?

it's gonna be too hot for the summertime...
and it'll impair your hearing...
and usually those things have higher foreheads, to accommodate goggles...
and they're probably heavier...

the straps ear muffs come off..but youre right about the google part.

I've got the bike version of a helmet just like this. It's the Bern Brentwood, it's great but it does get hot in the summer.

That's not a bad idea.... better than buying two helmets. They make helmets lighter than they used to, and those ear muff things are even bad when snowboarding (bad hearing), though they might be better now. I never wore a snowboard helmet and then did for a year or two and hated it, felt heavier than a hat, hearing was horrible, and just felt awkward. It probably about killed me, yet saved my life though. Not wearing a helmet and then wearing a helmet makes you feel a bit more invisible.... heh. I should get one again.

But yeah, no holes for ventilation during the summer, or maybe the make those too...

i just bought the bern "watts" model (xray's helmet over there--->) from orange 20 for $54 out the door. it has some vents on the top and back and actually feels safer than the giro i was wearing. not sure how it will be in the summertime....i'd rather be safe than sorry.
