Today, I'm not going to talk about the things you'll need to bring to this ride: water, tubes, good attitude, blah. I am going to tell you this: You are going to need to have a talk with yourself before going to this ride.

You're going to have to ask yourself things like, "What scares me most?" and "Why do I trust anyone in the bike scene to lead me anywhere?" and "Do rides imitate life, or does life imitate rides?" and "What was my first impression of Los Angeles?" and "Have I made enough good decisions in my life to be comfortable with my passing?" and so on.

Eventually, you'll find peace. Bring that. Hold on to it. Pet it.

ABOUT US:

THE LOS ANGELOPES. Typically this is the part where I say: We ride freak-bikes, we are freaks riding bikes. Bring your tall bikes, small bikes, your best animal gear, and your YELLING lungs! This is the ride and route designed to be a spectacle. We will RIDE 15 miles at a VERY VERY SLOW pace to populated blocks and expand on their idea of fun! We are fun! WE ARE LOS ANGELOPES!!!! IF YOU LIKE THE CUBZZ, CRANK MOB, or WETSIDE, expect those energy levels! ... and so on until you know to expect a really happy day-long event. Well, fuck all that. I dont care about your fun. I want your body. I am the future. I will direct you to the exits out of the past.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you feel like riding fast, PLEASE do not attend this ride. This was a re-occuring problem on previous rides, so I have but one conclusion...

I am going to say this once, in all seriousness...

I WILL SLASH YOUR TIRES ON A LOS ANGELOPES RIDE.

if there is one ride to be FUCKING SLOW, Los Angelopes is it. People work really hard to make fucked up pieces of metal and rubber ride-able, and this is the ride for them. If you feel the need, start another group that goes ahead. No problem.
