I think rides need less bands in general but even aside from that, II don't think this is the type of attitude a band should have when it comes to playing rides.
And also I listened to the music and fell asleep. I don't see how a live performance from this type of band fits in with the energy of a big ride.

Haven't heard their music. But live music on the rides should be encouraged. It is almost always better than a blaring boombox. Also, there are so many musician/performance artist riders that appropriate acts shouldn't be hard to find.
Why not have a ride with performance art elements?

From the moment I rode with midnight ridazz i was like, I wanna DJ for these crazy muthafuckkas.
A few months later I heard there was a ride with a party and immediately offered up my help, my equipment, and my desire to DJ. The rest is history.
Basically, pay attention, get to know people. Volunteer and support this scene and it will support you back.

what happened to actually just riding a bike? Can't you just go on a ride for the sake of riding a bike.. and not have to be enticed by a band performing?
What happened to old Midnight ridazz where we just rode all night and only made a few pit stops and that was just to "refuel"

Hey i checked you guys out.. and you guys are somewhat decent.. but i don't think that your music really fits the mood/style/atmosphere of the rides/ridazz... yet again I don't think rides show have bands play, it takes away from the riding atmosphere.. but if they do (maybe every now and then is fine). sorry but i don't think you guys fit the bill..
You may be asking.. hell what do you know? Well I am work in music supervision and licensing for an action sports company/television network.. so i know my shit. The music for the rides need to be noise rock, dub, spazrock, mathrock, indeirock..etc something upbeat that gets the ridaz pumped not make them fall asleep You guys would fit well at the Silverlake Lounge though.

Melissa....Those types of rides still happen....almost every night of the week....I think what he/she's saying is it couldn't hurt to have a band play at the stops....
What Gern said....FMLY is doing that now....the ride rolls up to a stop and BAM....the music starts...We go riding more....the next stop BAM...another band starts playing....I like the concept.....the bands get more fans and we get free entertainment....it's a WIN WIN situation...

REAL TALK.
ride because you want to ride. ride for the thrill of riding.
dont ride because you know there will be free beer. dont ride because you know there will be face painting and other baby bullshit involved.

Do the opposite of what this guy says. You'll wind up with free beer and a cute hipster chick.

I <3 FMLY rides!!! Check it... things happen, people dig on things for different reasons. Some ride for the sake of riding, others for the experience, and even some that just want a taste. WHATEVER... That's what it's all about. LONG LIVE THE CITY OF ANGELS AND ALL THE CRAZY KIDS THAT MAKE IT HAPPEN!
