Taxpayer funded fuckheads with union representation is what these under-educated/over-paid morons are.
Some are good, but the majority of these guys see an advertised high-salary and the prospects of a union, also provided at taxpayer expense.
Since they only want to get on for the sake of getting high benefits without much more education than what I have, the ignorant are drawn towards the LE -professions like mosquito's to a bug-zapper.
But definitely Drooby, follow XL's advice and forward this public-insubordination to the DA and IAB offices.
At least these guys are more educated and weren't presumably guided into their careers on the promise of high society provided by taxpayer funds.

LOL again with the union bashing!
Bent what you don't realize is that if you adjust for inflation and cost of living, unions are barely able to keep up with keeping salaries stable. In other words, it's not the union's fault that they
appear to have cushy jobs, it is the steady decline in wages forced upon everyone by non-union advocates - big corps and the shoot themselves in the feet - blue collar conservatives who buy into the corporate anti-union propaganda - that are making it look like unions have "cushy" jobs. In countries with strong union movements, such as France for example, the workers get 36 hour weeks and month (or two) of vacation. Not to mention cradle to grave healthcare and education. Contrast that here with your average private non union job here and you should be scratching your head if not seething with anger. Here you MIGHT get 1 week of vacation after a full year of servitude and no healthcare from the company or this country. what kind of shit is that?
The reason that workers have reduced hours and vacation is so that EVERYONE gets a chance to work. In other words the time a person spends not on vacation or working overtime is the time another person could be working.
c'mon conservative blue collar workers, quit shooting yourselves in the foot.

Roadblock, I changed my mind.
It's perfectly okay for private organizations to have unions due to the public dollars not supporting them.
Public employees on the other hand shouldn't have them due to us funding their representation.
We already ensure they have proper salary and benefits, now they want us to fund their PBA's?
Fuck that!!
Remember my position, private-industry/employee supported unions, yes.
Public-service/taxpayer-supported unions, FUCK NO.
If they want any union representation, the cops/firefighters/metermaids/etc., should just hold a fucking bake-sale, or pancake breakfast or some shit.

Anywho, I just lay low and keep out of sight, two of the best ways to avoid ever needing police or fire services.
It's as if I don't exist to these guys, except when I avoid jur(k)y service.
bentstrider02.8.10 - 9:02 pm
reply
As I said, if everybody wants one, I'm not going to stop them.
If it becomes mandatory to join the union in order to be employed, I'd much rather take my chances living off in the bush.
But I'll say it again, PUBLIC EMPLOYEES DO NOT DESERVE UNIONS, it will just further corrupt their operations due to conflict of interest.
Taxes are paid for them to serve us if we need them, not pay for them to be well taken care of like every other profession.
You take that job knowing that there's a good chance you won't be coming home at the end of the day, not to floss around the big wads and be a fuckin' tough shit.
Drooby, gather all resources and fight these leeches, you're too good of a person to be marred by an asinine charge like the ones being levied against you.

those who work union live better. they also push up the wages and safety standards of employers who compete against union companies. even those who arent directly in a union benefit from their effects on the market.
its not like there's not enough US dollars out there!
if we can bail out a few wall street bankers and finance two foreign wars, we can have a thirty hour work week and free healthcare like they do in france. if you ask me, that's real wealth: a just society.

Being a proud member of Local 728
Our union protects wages in our trade,
Keeps the employer from being able to replace us with undocumented illegals.
Provides us with premium health care.
Insures a safe work environment.
The down side is it's hard to become a member, cost a lot in initiation dues,
not everyone is allowed to join.
The illuminati is picky about who works for them.

How many times do I have to say I'm only against public employees having unions? If you're private industry that contributes to the health of the economy, then you're free to do whatever you like. If you're taxpayer supported, then tough shit.
