Looks pretty cool.
But, I like what we got going on over here better.
They're setup like a singular, paramilitary organization, while we've acquired the role of a "Multiple-Jurisdictional-Task-Force".
DTLA-people are like the local, National Guard unit.
The Valley is sort of like that Army, or Air Force base that everyone's either stationed at, or works at.
The Westside is viewed as the Naval Shipyard where the arrogant Marines, and the drunk sailors clash with the local heat while on leave.
And I'm the equivalent of the Deep-Space vessel that's permanently docked in its name-sake.

I've known about this for some time and it was part of the reason the guy I drove for in Montebello sold his trucks.
While the larger companies like Swift, JB Hunt, Werner, CR England.,etc are actually given large tax incentives to comply with these regs, the smaller companies and indies are either swamped with upgrade costs, forced to train for another career, or bone-out of the state altogether.
As for myself, the 3year challenge only has 11months left on the clock until I'm off the shitlist for some of the major companies.
Owner-operating/independent contracting is a brutal business when you're not onboard with a major outfit, especially when clean-air regs are being placed into effect out of panic.

If it gets that bad, I'll just go about getting my commercial pilots license.
About the same cost as a degree from a 4year university, but a behind-the-stick job awaiting me upon completion.
That and most hardcore greenies ironically prefer pollution heavy flying anyway.
