In all honesty, great idea, poorly executed. It should be once a year.

'08 was full of that glow.
If people miss the magic that much, perhaps it should be given a different title.

Think it's kinda sad that someone would try to post and lead a ride that was not even part of the original "GLO RIDER" memorial ride, use the memory of Mark whom he didn't know, and then do it badly.
I'm sorry to have to say it, but LouisAve, GTFO.
Here's to the true memory of GLO RIDER, and not to the BS that LouisAve is trying to sell you. In my opinion, a total shady asshole move.
Ride In Peace, Glo Rider

and since then no one has done one.
i'm not claiming this is MY own ride
thast why on my posts it says a memorial ride to tadPole "glo rider"
to my i like the whole idea of this ride and to me its a great spring/summer ride. that is all

What's wrong with the above? I don't think you knew Mark or even went on the original GLO Ride. I think you just saw the video from the original GLO Ride and thought that you could capitalize on it, instead of really putting on an original ride of your own. Too many holes in your stories. (nice try using his original MR name).
I have read many of your posts and really think you are full of shit, but whatever I really don't care about you, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents since I was asked What I thought about it.
Good Luck to You, Your Not"MY"Ride and Your Karma.

One thing that I've noticed is: there is no trailing rider to make sure everyone is with the group. If you get a flat or crash (like the deaf guy last night who face planted), don't expect this ride to wait for you. Your ass will be left behind, glow sticks and all.

i think the glo ride memorial was a good idea... but i didn't know you were planning on it being a monthly thing.
in all honesty, after the first 5 minutes of the first ride the glowing lost any novelty because the route was almost all large lit streets, and the glow sticks really dont seem that special after we leave crank mob park. without the glowing aspect the ride is just another generic saturday night gathering of youth riding the same boring streets we do all the time.....with glow sticks on our bikes that lose bright glow after 20 minutes. not that i dont enjoy myself enough, it's just noting special and i feel like we need more original interesting rides, not just the same stuff....
saturday i liked the route a little more.... still could have avoided most of the well lit boulevards, but i think the glow ride should be done not monthly but maybe annually or bi-annually... it just loses any novelty when you do it so often, it's not that special anymore
i still <3 you louis

we did stop. but there were way to many cars going by us
my friend Jami was on the cell phone with me and she was with the guy she knew where we were going i told her we would wait for them at the next stop

Yes, Jami was amazingly helpful and she even knew enough sign language to communicate with the guy. As far as the ride waiting at the next stop, there were about 15 people that were also left behind for various reasons (too slow, flat tire, etc.) that would not have known where to go if it weren't for the fact that Jami was delayed by stopping to help that guy.
The thing is that the previous glow ride left a group of about a dozen of us behind as well.
Anyway, it's not a big deal except that, when you get left behind on a glow ride you're left behind on a bike covered in glow sticks, looking a bit silly. Haha!
