That sounds awesome!!! I was thinking of doing a Picnic Ride or a Farmer's Market ride on a Sunday around noonish.
Ride to the Studio City Farmers Market (Ventura and Laurel Cyn Blv.) for some fresh berries and fruits and other goodies, and then stop by Trader Joe's across the street for some two buck Chuck (it's won some awards and only costs 1.99) and crackers and cheese, and maybe to the Artisan Cheese Shop (http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/41876174/studio_city_ca/artisan_cheese_gallery.html) across the street from Trader Joe's for some *fancy shmancy* cheese treats and then ride to the NoHo park for a picnic.

Try some Nappa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, by Charles Shaw 2009, it's excellent this year, better than some of the $35.00 bottles coming out of Spain and France.
You can get it at Trader Joe's and contrary to the article posted in 2002 it's a lot better than "okay", I've had some good years and some "okay" years, all wines do, and 2009 was a stellar crop.
At $1.99 per bottle you may wish to try the Merlot and white ones as well.

There isn't a Trader Joes in Downtown though, I'd I'm too lazy to ride out of downtown for wine. :P

There is one at 263 South La Brea in Los Angeles, about a fifteen minet bike ride from Downtown.
