26" rear fixed wheel. doesn't need a cog, but definitely would like a fixed hub with 135 mm axle spacing. i want to convert my mtb but i don't wanna go through the hassle of building it myself. i can put 700's on the bike, but i'd like to still be able to use my canti brakes.
how much would it cost to build this thing up? josef, paul?

Im supposing you dont have vertical dropouts (not that you cant run fixed on that).... anyhow, use a 26" wheel disc hub.
I dont understand why you want the rear to be fixed and be able to use canti brakes, unless you're try to build a flip-flop.
If so, try your luck with spacing a freehub (SS), with a disc rotor on the other side. Drill a 15t + bmx cog to fit the disc rotor bolts.
If you're lucky the flip-flop will line up perfect. If not, a little wheel dishing and you're good.... and all this can be done for cheap.
The problem you may run into is chainring options. Im not sure what BCD/spider your cranks have, but if you're trying to get a high fixed ratio with a bolt on cog, you need a large chainring.

i have vertical dropouts, but i plan on welding some track ends on. unless i buy an eno eccentric hub... but i don't know. the reason i still want a 26" to run the canti brakes is the fact that i don't wanna die in case of an emergency. i'd like to keep that stopping power. plus i'd like stronger wheels.
thanks alot, man! i've been researching lately, but have not come across that info. flip flop with a disc hub sounds pretty awesome.

I can assure you that if you ride this piece of engineering mastery around town certain things beyond your control WILL happen. Milfs WILL stop they’re texts mid-sentence and swerve they’re SUV to the side of the road to chase after you. Men WILL stare after you in a hypnotic trance relishing in the fact that you have the key that they seek to the female desire. If you leave it locked up outside somewhere it WILL get decorated with womens underwear that have phone numbers written on them. Sometimes boxer shorts as well, thanks but no thanks fellas I don’t swing that way.
I’ve owned this marvel for approx. 2 years and have put countless miles on its plush ride. The basket, although worn, tattered and frayed in some spots, still fits a 12 pack of brewskis conveniently disguised in a root beer box.. The mirror works nicely to see the approaching pack of ladies or to check out the glowing rays of studliness that shine out of you as you cruise the roads and trails. The horn announces your presence to the world, and can scare off criminals if you choose to use this bike to fight crime.
Do not buy this bike if you are:
In a happy committed relationship, because you will be tested.
Saving your self for marriage or that special someone, because once again you will be tested.
A fan of Nickelback. Even though I won’t own it anymore I couldn’t bear to know that the aura of this bike would be tarnished by crappy music.
If you’re wondering to yourself "how can I afford this piece of wonder touched by the hand of God". That’s the best part. I'm a category 3 rider who rode this bike no more than
6 times (less than 100 miles) and it was used for a photoshoot - it was never raced, unfortunately. I need to sell it as I'm focusing my career on photography. Serious buyers only, bring your pedals/shoes/wrench if you want to test it. I'm located in Downtown Los Angeles, there's a nice short steep hill on Bunker Hill on Grand if you would like to test that climb.
As I really need to sell this, I'm throwing in a like new Lazer o2 helmet (white) - Retail Value $119.99 - worn only twice and a pair of Specialized ADAPTALITE PHOTOCHROMIC NXT sunglasses (Team White) - Retail Value $175.00. Oh and the Speedplay Zero pedals are included with cleats .
