A friend of mine is looking to purchase a cheap road bike. His price range is $150-250.
He'd go to $300 if he really likes the bike.
He's just starting out and wants a decent bike to commute and also go on some of the MR rides.
Hit me up with suggestions and address of stores. I've already told him to try craigslist but that can be hit or miss.
Holla back y'all.

He could check out some bikes at bikesdirect.com or google performance bicycles.

Yeah, when he told me how much he was willing to spend I laughed too.
But I'm just trying to help him get out there and start riding.
I started out with a mountain bike.
I realized how hard it was, now I have a road bike.
I'll eventually get a fixed this summer.
But thanks so far. I'll let him know, plus I'll still keep me eyes and ears open.
I'm hoping to get him one so he can make the glow ride.

i think you can make it work with 300. it may take a couple days scouring craigslist but its definitely not impossible.
go by atomic bikes in van nuys.
also, the swapmeet at the velodrome is coming up soon.

Tell ur buddy he doesn't even need a bike to come.I've seen people rollerskate or skateboard the rides.if he really wants to come along. Nothing will stop him.
