According to my calendar tomorrow is this month's installment of Santa Monica Critical Mass....but I don't see any advertisement anywhere except CICLE. Am I missing something, or are we on for tomorrow?

After some thought, I think taking the risk of getting a ticket on smcm is a lot better than risking my life in watts for ride arc. I don't know if I'll make it in time from work but I'm going to try and find you guys!

I just got word that SM City Council has had an emergency hearing and has banned Critical Mass in their city. A group of more than 7 riders according to them constitues a "protest" and riders will be cited $160 for the first offense.

My main reason for going is to ride bikes......
I don't really give a fuck about the SMPD, but it's fun getting back at them for bogus tickets by screwing with the law & making them feel worthless. Fuck that shit, fuck it!
I like to think that I go because it's fun, and on occasion it's a SUPER chill ride. On most other occasions is a CRAZY ride. Either way, I never really know what to expect and that's one of the main draws for me.
Last SMCM turned out to be one of the more memorable rides for me (in a great way). I can't wait to see what happens this month.
SMCM gives me a moderate but steady flow of adrenaline.

I passed on my lures and my leftover stock of fishing poles, line and zip ties to the might Alex Thompson. Total cost? $20.

I'll be there next month before the ride starts to setup anyone who wants a police lure.
What sort of games should we play at Stop signs? I was thinking of "Red Rover", or holding an impromptu water balloon toss from the rider through the intersection to the rider coming to a stop.
So much fun riding around with cops everywhere. It feels like a parade. If we "obey the law" and have a good time, make a total show of the lame treatment by the cops ... what is wrong with that?

Playing with the SMPD the way that we did got tough, the stakes were def raised from last month - but you stuck it thru and kicked it hardcore. It was a pleasure riding with you. i hope to see you all out there next month (err.. every Friday, cause we rides every Friday now, ehehehe, fuck SMPD)..
