so what guys when are we going to do a ride in the IE.??? we have to get started with the 1st annual IE ride???

I've got a Victorville ride happening on the 4th of next month.
Spoke cards and nice tunes.
Time to bring some Westsidazz mentality a little, further Eastward.
I still say the Victor Valley should be considered part of the IE.
Only thing separating that possibility is the gay, Cajon Pass.
The Victor-Pillagers and the Rancho Cuca-mongols should get together and create a DIY bike path crawling alongside the BNSF/UPRR right-of-way.

What would it take? I really would like to see an annual event.Something that with time gets attention of people so they can feel the desire to ride.

the IE has no bicycle culture the likes of which is possessed by LA. Its more of a motorcycle culture out there. Coming from there, I was literally SHOCKED at the magnitude of these rides and to discover that there is an entire bicycle WORLD here, roaming the streets of LA, of which previously I was utterly unaware. I pretty much felt like an outsider on a bike there, and here it is just the opposite. Except LATELY riding has become extremely trendy so I'd bet if you organize it, they will come.

There have been several rides in the IE, most seem to die out after six months or so due to lack of interest or something. About a year and a half ago there was the East End Ridazz, which ran for five months until no one showed up any more, literally, the last ride consisted of me sitting at the start for an hour after the ride time, then riding home, then there was juggernauts, which may or may not still be going, there's also IECM, in Rancho Cucamonga, which is supposed to be somewhat decently sized. There's also Bike Polo in the IE, see the sidebar.

Well, it appears the "once a month" thing with the IECM is helping it out alot.
The two times I've gone, there's been at least 30-50 people showing up for that one, and everyone stays together due to excellent communication between participants.
As far as Juggernauts was concerned, we had around 30-40 people on the first day of that one, but that was just that once.
I believe the arcade-game and the fast-paced factor kind of scared most of everyone away.
Then it got cold, some people had to go to school/work, others felt the need to dedicate more energy to the Westside,. etc
Anywho, due to the amazing amount of general, nothingness along the Foothills, a "once-a-month" thing would be better in terms of making sure things don't get too repetitive.
As far as what's considered the IE, I would have to go with everything North of the 60, West of Redlands, and East of Pomona.
Not trying to hate on Riverside, but I don't really see that area as part of the IE.
You guys should be more your own, manageable area.
Riverside City, Temecula, Elsinore, Perris, Moreno Valley,. etc

I live in rancho cucamonga, and I would like to see upland, ontario, fontana riders getting together for a biweekly or monthly ride... c'mon guys!!!!!!!!!!there are lots of people riding around here we just need to come out of our shells

Baby steps, and a bit of commitment... Aren't Cyclecides out there? They host fairly decent sized rides.

Riverside, Mo Val, Temecula...NOT part of the IE???? Sorry, but ALL that is IE.
But I agree its a HUGE area for all riders to go to one spot... maybe a North IE and South IE ride...but don't exclude HALF of the inland empire like that, I mean half of Moreno Valley is north of the 60..and what about Beaumont, Hemet and Menifee?
Its just WAAAAY more spread out than LA. So there would definitely have to be factions, but like other riders posted before, the interest isn't there like it is in LA...they'd all rather take their dirtbikes to Glamis.

Eh, I still have mixed reviews on that issue.
Perhaps it's just the fact that I never really have any particular reason to go down towards Riverside, or any of it's adjacent areas that much.

GuyS Don't take it wrong. IE is big and we have to take baby steps in some areas, I will contribute with my effort to get something started around where I live, and I will gladly attend anything else in th I E.

Yeah, lets get something goin on out here in the IE. I usually ride in LA, but now that school started im stuck out here w/ no rides to look forward to besides IECM. I'm down for whatever, lets just get something goin, PLLLZZ!!!!

School and work are always excuses it seems.
People going to school tend to push for course overloads just to get that degree in 3-4 years, I choose the part-time option everytime.
People working either subject themselves to OT, or have no other choice.
Just generalizing again.
