SHOULD I GET NEW CRANKS OR SOME GUITAR GEAR...?

I have two bikes and both of them need a lot of work but I'm kinda starting to get pissed off that something always seems to fuck up on either one of my bikes. I also had my wheels stolen two days after a friend had built me a new bike. I feel that I have put aside the guitar for riding... If any of you are musicians I'd like to hear your take on this. The balance of both. So far all my money has been going into my bikes and it seems to be a never ending thing and I really have nothing to show for it. I kinda want to get a new set of cranks on one of my bikes but there is a guitar pedal that cost the same... AHHH what to do?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but since I may not be as bike-literate (or as aesthetically interested) as most, I'm of the opinion that you should just make sure you have a rideable bike. Does it matter if you have fancy or new cranks? What if you just get some cranks that will work? Just make sure that you have a bike that will provide you with some F.U.N. and be super careful with the locking up. But even then it can't always be helped, as we all know.
Everybody has to deal with the hell of bike theft or getting doored or something awful like that. It's part of riding. And then...the loss of or severe damage of your bike. However, the good times that you get to HAVE with your bike are golden, no?
Having an alternative thing as part of your life is also *crucial*, as it makes you, well, YOU. But is it possible to get less expensive (but working) cranks and save the remainder of that $$ for the guitar pedal? Personally, i think, if you work it right, you can do both, you just gotta do some kind of prioritizing, I guess. I just think you need to have a bike. You will be sad if you cannot come out riding.
I would be. Even if I could sit at home and play the hell outta my guitar every damn night.
