I was downtown yesterday when I saw some kid hanging out with a dura ace $2500 bike. I asked him what was up and if he was selling the bike. Of course and he had a few more to sell. I got photos of the one he had. He also had a Lemond "military green" color that was larger than the bike there (maybe a 54?) and a Trek. He may call me with the specs. He wanted $350 for this bike... the Kyserium wheelset is worth $500 alone. If anyone knows the owner of this bike, let me know. I can get a hold of him.

Buying a bike that's stolen is just as bad as stealing it yourself, in my opinion.

You need to call the LAPD and give them your pics, number (of the kid) and information, undoubtedly the bikes that were stolen were reported and the police and contact the victims and they can identify the bike and pick it up.

that won't work. by the time the cops get to it
that kid probably already sold them.

If you turn him and the bikes in it will give the police more hope of finding other thieves which is seriously on demand right now. Craig, please give them his number and ask them if these bikes have been reported stolen. you would get many good karma points and maybe a free bike if no one claims it. promise!

Either take action on the spot, or call the cops as soon as you get a chance. The chance that posting on here will reunite the owner w/ their bike is small.

Call the cops, or better yet go to a local station and demand action on this. Posting here will do nothing and even stands the chance of alerting the perp if word circulates.
