Know anyone racing in Race Across America? Well you do now, Alex has been riding with Midnight Ridazz for a few years and was on Team Midnight Ridazz for ALC as well as Team Touch and now he's taking on RAAM a 7 day 4 man team bike race from San Diego to Annapolis, MD. Alex and Team Hope needs your help, if you can spare a donation to get them to the race go online and donate.
Team Hope Website
7 days, coast to coast, more than 3,000 miles of balls out racing and he's representing us! If you could help out please do so, Alex is a monster and I'd like to see him finish this race.

And, knowing him, he'll get lost and end up doing hundreds of extra miles -- and still finish before most other people.

Kat and Rich will be his navigators but yeah he'd probbly end up in Toronto or some shit and still make it to Maryland.

I know alex and Team Hope can do it, they just need a lil help in the funds department, so if you could donate to this cause that would be awesome,

RAAM is nutty, and I wish you the best of weather this year.
4 man is the only way this race even seems human to me.

Hey MR - I'm the crew chief for Team Hope! We'd really appreciate your support - spread the news about Team Hope and help us get some donations in (http://www.theteamhope.com). We have 12 people on our team - 4 racers and 8 crew. Well, actually, we only have 7 crew and are currently looking for one more crew person! So if you're interested, post it here!
Don't know much about RAAM (Race Across AMerica)? It's a NON-STOP 3000 mile race from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD. And we're hoping to finish the race in less than 7 days! We're hoping to finish in 6... POSSIBLY 5 days!
If you twitter, follow us - @TheTeamHope or follow me @katerpillar
If you're on Facebook, search for "The Team Hope"
Thanks everyone for your support!!!!

7 day pace is actually considered a bit slow during RAAM.... (17-20 mph pace). we're hoping to finish in 6 (HOPEFULLY 5) days.
c'mon everyone...we could seriously use your help! this race costs $25,000 to do and the racers traditionally pay for the race. we originally had a sponsor to pay for all the expenses, but they backed out about a month & a half ago. so now we're reaching out to you and others for help!!!! expenses will help pay for gas for 4 vehicles, food for 12 team members and MAYBE a hotel or two during the race. we're getting a lot of product sponsorships (from Action Wipes, Sock Guy, ID4Sports, CycleAware, etc) as well....so if you or someone you know can help us out, please let us know!
ride on!

Btw, the 4-racers will be split into teams. Each 2-person "team" will have a 6-hr shift. Within that shift, they will alternate pulls so they can go at max speed...given the terrain, weather conditions, etc.
The 8-person crew is paired up also...alternating between 3 different vans every 6 hours. One of those vans is considered the "sleep" van where the crew & racers sleep... average amount of sleep for the crew during the race: 4 HOURS!
I will be in another can with the bike mechanic. Our job: prep food, do laundry and provide all the supplies to the crew/racers.
Soo.... @dannyzuko still interested?

Hey everyone... The team recently made the tough decision to postpone competing in RAAM until next year. We had some unfortunate luck with our sponsor, resulting in us doing last-minute fundraising activities. We are looking forward to competing in the Race Across America next year and hope you continue to support our efforts.
