what up y'all
does anyone on here live near universal city and care if the LA river bike path runs straight from the west valley to downtown? I know I would LOVE to see that happen. In case you didn't know NBC UNIVERSAL's crap is obstructing the public right of way.

there is a "community meeting" happening this Tuesday at 4pm
NBC Universal is holding a community meeting next Tuesday, May 18 at 4:00 P.M. at the Universal Studio's lot. You have to RSVP by this Friday, May 14 to get past security. Call 818-700-3583 to reserve a spot. If you have trouble reserving a spot, please leave me a note in the comments section, as we're not certain if they're going to let in everyone interested in the project or just "supporters."
I left a name and number and they called me back asking how I was invited stating they didnt want any "party crashers" so when you call just say that you got the invite via "Metro" or "Thomas Properties" via email. If they ask who stall and say you are out of office and would have to look it up. You can get an invite plus one. you have to give a full name of you and your plus one.
due it!

That's River Road in Question, it is my understanding that they actually do not own
that road that runs parallel to the L.A. river. River Rd starts at Cahuenga and goes
to Barham blvd. One of the problems is it goes past Spielberg's private Dream works
offices and he has put up stiff opposition to it, paranoid of Terrorist.
Universal recently sold part of the back lot to developers who plan to put a private
gated community at that spot, Forest Lawn and Barham. So there may be a chance of
a bike path being put in regarding ease of traffic congestion ?
Also there was talk of having the bike path follow the river and continuing up the
Tujunga wash to the Orange line.

Dear God, NBC is so lame, they are worried that people will lob screenplays over the fence...
How hard it is to put a dumpster near the fence and just have your property beautification staff dump scripts in trash. Simple. Easy.
No, they just want riders to ride through their new housing development so they can add "bike path' to the property assets, but it's a public bike path and taxpayers should not have to pay for adding length to a public bike path to enhance profits for a private real estate venture.
Yep, I'm gonna be there and I'm gonna give them a piece of my mind!
