Bike Town Beta Kids
May 29th
Noon - 5ish
We're working on making this happen. We'll have the site and info updated soon. For now, if you're already talking and promoting BTB; start talking about BTB KIDS.
Based at Pan Pacific Park (map to follow soon)
Preview:
We have confirmed:
Reptile exhibit / show
Puppet Show
Hula-Hoop performance / booth
(working on a magic show, juggler, etc)
Activities were working on and need help:
Gardening workshop
Face painting
Kick Ball Game
Kids bike race
Kids Scavenger Hunt
Kids Spoke Card making booth
Snow cone machine
Popcorn machine
Critical Mass Ride to grab ice cream (possibly at Golden State).
AND anything you might be able to help with.
MOST IMPORTANT -- WE NEED YOUR IDEAS AND HELP FOR BTB as a whole.

Kissing booth

fashion show (best costume?)

in addition to the games you got listed, handball is HUGE at my kids' school--and numerous others around the city. Same that you and me likely played years ago. Let's find a big-ass wall to get some game on. I'll go get some red-rubber bouncy balls.

I, along with some other parents (loosely affiliated with CICLE), will be putting together a kids/family ride somewhere in the area.
Working on route planning--tell us where some good stuff will be so we'll make sure the route will incorporate it.

Hi everyone,
We're preparing to make this happen and we could use some extra activities.
The event should kick off at Noon with a puppet show courtesy of Party Puppets at the Pan Pacific Outdoor stage. The show will be followed with a kids mass ride being organized by C.I.C.L.E
Upon returning to the park, we have a few activities scheduled on the south end of the park.
Movers and Shakers will have a hula hoop section and may also do a show.
(we had a reptile exhibit committed (?) but they may have backed out).
Kids spoke card making table.
Face painting
Snow cone machine
Art & Crafts
Please feel free to add the event if possible.

It's official: Kids Ride meet up is at Pan Pacific Park--SE corner near 3rd/Gardner. 1 pm.
It'll be a short few-mile ride for the kiddies (and parents and anyone else who wants in to see some kids' smiles as they ride bikes) with maybe a stop for some lemonade and then snow cones at the finish.
Kids-designed spoke cards, too!

I apologize, but the puppet show has been canceled.
Swing by at 2pm for the hula hoops, by Movers and Shakers and the other kid friendly activities.
Kids bike ride will start around 1pm and return to the park at 2pm for other activities.

REPTILE SHOW is back on.
Kathy's Critters is showing up before noon to setup and we'll have some live animals to check out.
Movers and Shakers hula hoop group at 2pm with a bunch of hoops for people to use.
Swing by and show some support.
If you want to help out, I'm planning on being there by 10 or 11am to get some tents up and such.
