Bad Brains is part of a black punk rock / rock n roll / hip hop festival in the arts district of DTLA ON Saturday 2/21/09. Not just H.R., this is Bad Brains.
One of the organizers of it asked me to forward the info on to the cycling community.
i saw H.R one time and he fired his band after one song.took a break and came back out with some guys he was getting high with before the show.did an hour show of freestyle dub reggae.

hr ruined the bad brains rep on tour in texas in 198-something by pissing off the big boys, the dicks, mdc, and other openly !@#$?sexual hardcore bands/members when they were delving deeper and deeper into rastafari, since that doesnt please jah. now i think hes over it, but i could be wrong.
I think there is an anti-gay song on quickness ...
but you have to give it to HR with lines like "don't blow no fudge buns"
in the annals of anti-gay rock music it doesn't get much classier (or weirder) than that.

The graphic design of the advertising was insanely disappointing it made me NOT want to watch the movie.
Here is a grass roots music movement that spawned its own graphic aesthetic so influential that people published books about it and designers are constantly ripping it off.
So how do they promote the movie? with some superfucking vanilla illustrator drawings. ugh!
