its right by my house and it looks pretty fun but i dont know how the terrain is. if its asphalt or dirt, etc/

 I remember hiking up there back in the day, but can't vouch for the trail foundation or it's condition.

 I would advise you take a mountain bike or some fat tires on your road/fixxie. I havent been up there in a few years but the conditions I'm speaking of should still persist. Meaning: It'll probably be a rough ride for skinny tires.

 verdugo mountains are beastly.... i believe the trail is dirt and although it's not too rocky or necessarily bumpy, a mountain bike or fat tires are recommended
