Hi,
I took the picture above.
While I'm glad you like the photo, I do not appreciate that my watermark was cropped off, and your website's URL was added.
My photos are copyrighted, and this is stealing.
I work hard to take good pictures, and add a watermark for exactly this reason.
Linking to my photos is fine, but theft is not OK.
Please remove this photo from your forum.
Thanks
Hank

FFS, have you heard of not being jerks? He took a bunch of great pictures and all he wanted was fair credit. Why was it necessary to crop out his watermark? Just link to the fucking pictures. Fuck.

I think EspressoBuzz wouldn't mind free advertising, and was cool with the link I posted to his pic. It was when Graham downloaded his photo, cropped out his watermark, and uploaded it to the forum (which resulted in it getting a midnightridazz watermark instead) that it became a problem. As it stands right now it looks like Midnightridazz is trying to take credit for his work.
In a nutshell, don't remove watermarks and then add your own. It's a dick move.

Its not free advertising when my watermark is removed, and a new watermark is added.

Whoa!
My apologies! Didn't mean to offend/upset any of the incredible photographers out here. I saw a photo of myself on Flickr, decided to download it, couldn't drag it onto my desktop, so I took a screen shot of it. I didn't mean to crop out the water mark, out of spite or anything.
If I could delete it I would, but I don't have the ability to do so.

The MR water mark is automatically put on every photo uploaded on to the forum. Didn't do that myself

Graham,
Thanks for the apology.
Photography is my life.
*insert analogy of someone ripping you off in the bike world here*, and how you might feel about it.
Tonight I'll be adding the rest of the photos from that night to this set:

The Dead Baby Downhill was the most fun I've had in Seattle in a while, and I want to contribute to that experience by recording what are the best years of our lives.
But I at least want credit for taking the photos.
I put my life into taking & editing the best photos I can, so seeing my watermark replaced pissed me off.
No hard feelings, and I hope I can buy you beers someday.
Hank
