you see, joe, I just want same sex couples to enjoy the benefits of marriage and family so they'll more than likely look to buy a house with a garage for a cargo bike and have fabulous BBQs for the bike community.
Then they can adopt / have kids and buy mini bikes.
Its all about bikes dude; dont get it twisted

State-sanctioned marriage was originally devised as a means of discrimination against inter-racial relationships back in the "good old days" the conservatives long for.
While I in principle think government should get out of the so-called "marriage-business," no way are any average hetero couples going to get "civil unioned."
(additionally, actually saving the tax payer tons of money from having to rewrite/republish all marriage laws to accommodate "civil unions.")
Due to the cultural power of the word 'marriage,' current laws, and our constitution. gay marriage should be legalized.
I agree, but the victory is good because there were many in the queer community that did not want the suit to take place because they saw it as jeopardizing the chances of Prop 8 NOT passing at the next go round.
I'm really happy about this...

I think the Anti-Prop 8 Attornies are rad!
Its really smart that they have a hard core republican as 1/2 of the team.
Hopefully they will catch the supreme court on a day when it decides to put prinipals over right wing politrix.
Fingers crossed that the VICTORS OF TODAY(you know who you are) get in a fatal/permanently debilitating car accident before this reaches the Supreme Court.
My friends who are lawyers pointed out that this is an unusually thorough ruling, and from what I read, Judge Walker really lays down the factual evidence in a way that is really hard to argue against. Good on him.
