Quit Tagging On Rides!

Ok guys really, Im not baggin on anyone who writes cause I write also, but there is a difference when i do my for the purpose of art on a canvas and taking it to a street! last night I was riding with a Buddy up venice when, while cruising a few other cats (names unknown) joined in on the fun. next thing you know were all getting pulled over cause the kid in the back has no lights!!!! ( another stupid move) to make a long story short, i ended up gettin cuffed, and harrassed cause one of those dumbasses thinks that bringing cans is cool even though he was the only one with the cans you are guilty by association and they assumed we also had cans. If you wanna go tag take it somewhere legal or go with your graff buddies. we dont appreciate gettin harrassed for you stupid actions!!!!

P.S. call this a repost i dont care, but this tagging is getting as old as our rights as cyclist being violated!

Tag all you want, but could you guys stop defiling the words "write" and "writer"? Nine out of ten of you couldn't write your own name without intensive one-on-one tutoring.

no i wasnt charged, its just annoying sitting in cuffs with frezzing winds for over an hour. The kids was givin a ticket for the cans, and they took them from him, im guessing he was underage or on probation. and if i never rode with people i didnt know, i would have never met some of the great people who bike in our community, its just those bad apples that need to be plucked!

I say blackball the taggers. tag if you feel you must, but not on rides. its shows us in a bad light.

if you dont want to associate with people who tag, participate in a different alternative culture.

The police hassle you and you get mad at the riders. How about getting mad at the people hassling you? or just enjoying life and not caring if someone stops you and talks for a few minutes. geez. You can (pLAy) tag on my rides.

Nothing wrong with meeting new people on a ride, but in this instance it seemed they just happened to be a few "vultures" that might've seen some "opportunity" in rolling with a slightly increased pack.
In this case though their luck ran and unfortunately for yourself you ended up getting pulled in on account of a poorly thought-out, evasion tactic on the taggers part.
So for futures sake, meet people all you want to, but have an impromptu breather in a well-lit area(grocery store, liquor store, non-car accessible park) to get the dirt on who these guys really are.
Seeing as how LE in your neck of the woods is pro-reacting to certain things, it's best for everyone to be as vigilant and brainstorm ways to keep "first contact" from ever occurring with a phantom(suddenly appears out of nowhere) squad car.
