Come by and scold me for being an Occupy L.A. hater, or we can just chat about what I hate and don't hate about it, or we can just focus on what you hate. As long as we're focused on hate, we'll get through this together, in a loving way.

The riots, beginning in the evening after the verdicts, peaked in intensity over the next two days, but ultimately continued for several days. A curfew and deployment of the National Guard began to control the situation; eventually U.S. Army soldiers and United States Marines were ordered to the city to quell disorder as well.

Fourth day (Saturday, May 2)On the fourth day, 4,000 soldiers and Marines arrived from Fort Ord and Camp Pendleton to disperse the crowds and restore order. Soon after the military arrived, order was restored. With most of the violence under control, 30,000 people attended a peace rally
