some of us have been speaking of doing this. so many of us are designers/artists/awesome people so it would be fun. in the vain of those dinners.. but with craft!
coecoe has volunteered her space for it as well.
need to figure out a night and see whos interested and a day to start?
slash would people just want to make stuff or learn stuff from someone else?

whenever.. but thursdays is laundry day for me -- so if we want to do it that day we have to do it at my place.. i also have a balcony that we can sit on and be crafty.. yaye!
@ Undercover Bob, I don't know if yarn would be the mot aero of materials since it's pretty aerated... Or are you thinking of knitted slip covers to go over your aero wheel covers? That would be totally simple since it's just really a big circle...
As a group project, we could knit sleeves or sweatbands for Team Midnightridazz...
No, it's not a functional aero wheel but I think I saw someone with a sort of knitted aero wheel that was woven with the spokes. It was probably pretty time consuming to make but it looked awesome!

Mondays may turn into a "chill" ride around the Westside courtesy of Steveo. Count me in for any craft stuff. I'll contribute my expertise on making bicycle innertube wallets.
what about sunday evenings? westside - we can do a ride to the host's house - sunday because it's the draggy day after the large saturday ride.

honestly theres a ride every night of the week, theres never going to be a date thats great for everyone. and not going to lie, once summers over you guys are never going to see me, let alone going out for social shit as i won't be leaving my studio [ just ask theroyalacademy about that one. ]
I'm kind of lame, I've read a lot about homemade paper, bookbinding (legitimate, as I've made one that didn't come out looking like shit.), and I've done my share of relief printing and screen printing (with stencils, screen filler, and emulsion).
I also had some weird physical manipulation hobbies, such as fucking around with photocopiers and things.
uhm......but yeah, I couldn't teach anyone anything, I"m still learning, and probably will be until I die.
i didnt think anyone would want to learn to spin records.. gotta get one of my tables running and the other one needs a needle (no prob, only $25) but set the days this will happen and i will see what i can do.
i wouldn't say i'm that crafty. but i can sew. and i could teach a thing or two about making stencils/stenciling. oh and i can definitely make a mean batch of vegan cupcakes. so count me in.
this is tonight!? why did i think it was next monday?! =/
hmm. weird. i work until 4:30 and then have to run errands.
if i can get home and bake up some cupcakes in time i'll be there!
Lady friend! I think that is my favorite word, by far. Sometimes.

i just got home to lady hand jams in my living room.. but when i left there was some major crafting going on! good turn out, around 10 people doing some good stuff..

because i was already commited to working on my bike on monday (since bikerowave is kind enough to house it for me while i do so)
because i dont want to make my parents drive me everywhere since i dont feel quite up to riding my bike around yet from my fall
i could even be named someone who flaked, but last night was my only night this week for me - i had to get a lot things accomplished.
instead of getting mad at us "flakers" -- tell us how great it was so we WANT to be sure to make it to the next one.
Kind of how a ride goes: not a lot of people always show up the first time, however, those that do create an amazing amount of fun and by word of mouth and positive feedback it gets around.. next time people you had never expected show up, appear and then F.U.N. becomes even more uncontrolable!
I will try and make the next one.. stay positive and good things will come to light :)
no hard feelings. i do like to craft and who better to do it with then yall. making sure everyone knows how awesome it was and how awesome it will continue to be is where its at.
but again. things come up. shit happens. and crafting continues.

Oh boy I can't wait for my craft night tonight, it's going to consist of "wash the dishes that have piled up in the sink for two weeks and are now causing a stink," and "do my laundry, which is actually kind of starting to smell too." If I get really creative I may go on to "wash my bathroom which I haven't done in about four months."

Last night was truly a Special Edition cwaft night "sleep over party."
Thanks to those that came, brought food, ate, laughed, smoked out of that bag, painted, listened, slept, read..etc. It was great fun.

ridiculous. waking up at 6 am to brandon hogging the bed and nicki sleeping on the floor, jaz snoring, larson sprawled out weirdly, gabby and richie knocked out and mike totally stomach down passed out.
that was the most specialist edition of craft club EVAR.
And for those lucky enough to attend, it was the last time you'll ever see JAZ and I the way we were. hahaha well, most likely. SO TREASURE THAT MEMORY!!!!!

craft club isn't a ride, so generally there isnt any riding. last night was definitely a ridiculous craft club as there was barely any room in nicki's apartment with like 20 people there. it was good times!
nikki- thanks for continuing to host everyone. if it was my place i would have been quite bummed out when things started to get a little out of control.

to everyone else, i totally understand that there are times when you get excited and want to laugh loudly or raise your voice with excitement but REMEMBER you are in someone else's home!

I've gotta say i'm pretty curious to know what the hell happened last night. I'm trying to picture CRAFT CLUB GONE WILD! but am having trouble. Glitter wars? Homemade pasties parade? Or are we talking like... scrapbooking faux-pas?
It was a good night overall. I would love to have a place where people could come and not have to worry about the volume.. but unfortunetly, it's not the case.

It's just about crafting, there is rarely a ride involved.
I'm hoping to get in on a game of risk tonight, others will be doing arts / crafts. Bring whatever you want to work on whether it's homework or a website.
