Yes--the powers that be NEED to know there's interest in making this happen again and more frequently (both the CicLAvia organizers and the City/County/Metro government authorities that helped make it happen--more importantly the latter).
...and the people on this forum are particularly savvy to good routes/streets. Now that I think about it, you ride leaders should hit up the CicLAvia people and start/join a route planning committee or something like that.

Another good idea would be to send a SHORT email to these people about how much you loved CicLAvia (if that's the case). Just do one and copy to each.

Let's start out by seeing if we can match the originators in Bogota - once a week covering 70 miles of streets. Once we have achieved that, let's see where we can go from there, considering we are like a superpower & stuff, so maybe we can be #1 @ something again.
