anyone care to recommend a beginner, easy paced ride in north hollywood? actually i suppose it could be a medium paced ride too as i have an eBike that can assist me when i get tired. i've been waiting to join MR for a year now. today i FINALLY bought a bike!!!

I like spoken art.... it is really mellow ride... you get to see some art and meet friendly riders... from north hollywood it is a nice ride... you can take the chandler bike path to victory into the la river trail ...continue on riverside to figueroa and you get to the bike oven in no time... if not... take the metro.... but it is a nice ride itself...

thanks dayone i don't think i'm ready to ride that far on my own yet, but when i am i'll come join y'all, i love art, and i've been meaning to get involved with bike oven, if not to learn how to fix my own bike, then to meet other bikers in my neighbourhood, i live in toluca lake.

DO ANY MOM RIDAZ RIDE YOU SEE TO THE RIGHT OF THIS WEBPAGE..

but seriously. the spoke n art ride is such a chill ride. chill people. chill art.
round trip is about 11 miles.
if you dont want to ride this far, hop on the red line ... take it to union station.
then get on the gold line going to pasadena. get off on heritage square station and the start of the ride is only 2 blocks away. and returns by 1030. plenty of time to grab your trains back home...
this ride is next saturday! meet at 630. ride at 7.

Welcome! Lots of good suggestions on this thread. I def second Spoken Art is a great ride to check out even though it's not in NH. You can redline goldline with your bike if you aren't into riding all the way to the start.

mines a custom job. I just use the Hub motor and battery is on my back rack. Haven't used it in a while though. If you keep at riding, you'll realize you don't really need it too.

hey jeff the rides, i've been with MR for a while, just lurking mostly, but now i'm ready to ride, but it has to be easy going, i'm a REAL novice, and it's best i stay in noho for now!

So glad you decided to put out the word about what you're looking for--
And until you decide which of the various night rides would be fun (and they're all fun, some are just faster than others) . . . .
YOU WILL BE GOING TO *CICLAVIA* THIS SUNDAY RIGHT? Almost 8 miles of streets closed all day! It'll be perfect for you. Lotsa ridazz will be riding around. There's even a family/kid ride that will be a slow pace with friendly people. That would be awesome for you.

See you around--hopefully.

rock on dudeonabike for sure, that ride sounds PERFECT for me, let's just hope i get my bike back from metropolis on time, they say it'll take 3 to 4 days to get it tuned up, ho hum, i guess better safe than sorry, especially since i know NOTHING about bikes, except to see it visually needs air in the tires, so ... i'll see you someday, for sure, rock on ... mikio!
