I know this is short notice for you all, but on March 8th at 7:30pm Downey's city council is having an open meeting to discuss many issues. During this meeting we have a portion called "Open Communication" in which citizens can speak their issues that they may be observing throughout the city.
I am going to address the city's complete lack of bicycle lanes on every street in the city. There are also no "Share The Road" signs. I have prepared a packet for each council member to read as well as a short speech to bring this to their attention and ask them for a simple action of painting some lanes in.
Any ridazz in the Downey area who are free at that time please come and share your experiences on the roads lacking bicycle lanes. I want them to know this is the best thing for cyclists and motorists.
It's taking place in Downey's City Hall in the Council Chamber which is immediately to your left as you enter City Hall.

Again, I know this is late notice, but I didn't know when the meeting was until I found out today. Thank you ridazz!
Ride on!
