Whats good riders!? Heres the deal!
Some riders that go to CSUN are looking to connect with folks
who would like to join our efforts to make CSUN campus more bike friendly.

We are meeting this Wed OCT 13
at Chicano/a House (across from art dept) 4: 30PM

We have also planned a ride around CSUN Thursday OCT 14 at Chicano/a House (across from art dept) 8pm. That will eventually meet up with the balboa ride.

anyone have any questions or comments please send us your emails so we can add you to the list serv.

It's important to start this bike club. Northridge is engaging a Northridge Vision plan which calls for a college town type setting. College kids ride bikes and Northridge needs your help in creating a bike friendly community.

I will be there to ride with you guys to the Balboa ride. I think you guys might want to make some small flyers, ect to get the word out. And yes, goto the "northridgevision" website. The Neighborhood Councils in Northridge want your input. Change is coming to Northridge/Reseda corridor

TOMORROW NIGHT There is a Northridge West Neighborhood council meeting discussing newly implemented bike lanes on Wilbur Ave. Many of the residents north of Chatsworth hate them because Wilbur is no longer as desire-able to cut through now that it has bike lanes and less room for cars (as they see it).

steps to help make this work at a collegiate level (have done this before in CSU system)

1) contact student-orgs on campus
2) form student club
3) pull hair out re: paperwork and meetings --year one will be hard
4) if you're going to consider racing at the collegiate level, go here -
http://wccc-info.com/ and email hans for info - it usually impresses university admin if you are multi-functioned (collective and racing) and it is a lot of fun
5) keep trying
6) enjoy results 2.5 years later

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE INPUT AND SUPPORT!!
ITS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
We do have long term goals as far as what we want to get done with this collective.

For example a student run bikery on campus and other projects maybe even a velodrome!!
