Here is a list of lots of feeder rides from many points throughout the city to get you to the awesomeness that will be Sunday's CicLAvia:

I'm referring to meet up points in other areas of the city, say Santa Monica, for people that want to ride in a group over to the CicLAvia route. Like they do to LACM from the Westside, 818, 562, etc.
There will be various spontaneous activities, rides, etc. all along the route on the streets, at the parks, and in the intersections, etc. (and I'm sure many businesses/restaurants will have tables set up outside--or they should if they're smart), and there will be a few pit stops/information booths, but I don't think the route will be lined with booths like a farmers market or street fair like you commonly see on closed off streets.
Think street=park.

Maybe off topic, but Imagine if there was an official CAR-FREE day here! That'll be a scene.

"...just closed of streets..."?? Whaddya mean "JUST closed off streets"? I can't think of too many other occasions where I've gotten to ride here in LA where they've closed the streets for me to play in them free from the threat of the attack of the 2000 lb steel metal-box monster (and during the day, and for free).
I think you mean the "f-ing miracle that is closed off streets"
Perhaps one day such a thing will be made mundane by its frequency . . . perhaps.

I will be at Union Station tomorrow morning with Mike Kwan at 9AM. We will ride to Hollenbeck Park for CicLAvia. Any joiners?

I have a feeling that people who don't have kids don't really think about the significance of this event. And last night asking random people if they knew about it on the streets and they were clueless. Not a really good sign for the outcome. I have high hopes nonetheless.
