any one knows how to remove a stuck rear cog ive tried chain whip... idk what else??? and i have used wd40

then what do i use... i just sprayed a little to take it off imma klean it then i heard i need to put grease next time

I have a grip of your tools at my pad ... if there is anything you need you can get it tonight ... I get home at like 5:30 ish

their should be a lock ring holding your cog there mate..

Lock ring is off its just the gosh darn FUCKN COG...... i tried the pipe 2 people and 3 but nothing fuck..... any one have and idea

have someone old your rear wheel or just push back on your pedals

use this method, but in reverse

you need to have track ends, i don't think it will work on a conversion with horizontal dropouts
you can also try to skid it off

Go ride ast without a lockring and start doing skip stops. Go to dentist. Cog removed. Maybe even a tooth.

i been doing skid stop that method online and all this i think its time for the professinals do you know any bike shops that are open at this time cuz i need to go to work asap and no other ride

ok so i finally got it thsnx man we messed up 2 chain whips and had to also use a blow torch the guy knows how to do it and no problems

glad you got it off. when i've had a stuck cog before, i sprayed some of that penetrating spray at the bikerowave (don't remember exact brand name) and let it marinade for a few mins and that helped get it off.

Dude.
If its stuck and wont come off then just fucking ride it. I
f it doesnt come off with a chain whip its prolly not gonna come off when you ride it medium anger to work.
The best way to loosen it is to take off the lockring put the wheel on the bike wiht the chainon and then stand on the backsidepedal with your full body weight. Are you sure it didnt get JB welded or something?

Were the threads greased before the cog was put on? I read some stuff online about this sort of stuff happening if you didn't grease the threads.

@stillline yea we managed to take it off took 3 guys 2 chain whips... and im nota ble to ride it because some of the teeth are bent and the chain slipps off all the time...
and gav it did have grease idk what happen but i got it

DONT USE GREASE ON YOUR TRACK COG!!!!
come on guys... sure you might have a lock ring... but grease?
If its on that tight (assuming its not a suicide hub via jb weld, or loctite)...
GET A TORCH.

its ok we use a bllow torch and a chain whip finally got it out they use just a tad bit of grease
