just wondering if you would use the same size bike as my crit bike and should i get smaller cranks ????
reply
Well i use 165mm size cranks which i think there better for making sharp turns in the streets cause i dont sseem to hit the front wheel as often with my feet. And alot of pro track ridazz use 165mm as there preffered size cranks for TRACK.

RECYCLING AN OLD THREAD----------------------------------------------
Okay, so I was reading the
Pole Lane Fever race description, and now I'm curious about some of the terms used. What's the difference between a Points Race, Tempo, and a TT time trial?

I mean, I know what a time trial is, but tempo? Wasdat?

btw while i'm here, to answer your question chynna, a tempo (i call it '15 laps in hell') is basically x number of laps with 1 point awarded to the person that crosses the line first at every lap. remember that each lap is only 250m. so its 1 point awarded every 16-18 seconds.

for the winter -- and with a class like this -- a good track ratio is in the low 80's.

switch to 16! or stay at 15. October to December should be all about building up leg speed.
