Ok, yes some of us (well nicely put, probably a majority of us) are without alot of pocket cash. BUT HELL IF I WANT TO SEE ANOTHER SAD TOY TURN OUT FROM US! It is fucking embarassing. Please remember these are for kids and I can tell you they are MORE THAN APPRECIATED by them. START SAVING NOW!!!!! PLEASE! Get a piggy bank, save a quarter a day, a dollar a week or whatever. I dont even want to hear "well I didnt have cash for a toy" on the day of the ride. START NOW. A ten dollar toy can be more than managable if you plan it out. STONERS/ALCHOLICS (which includes me in teh latter) give up a couple of joints a year/give up a couple of drinks a year for a good cause. I personally will do two toys at ten dollars each (1 girl/1boy toy), that is my pledge. I do not have a job. LETS ROCK THIS YEAR!!!!!

Josh from TOW made an awesome suggestion last year: a Toy Making Workshop!

My kid would spit in your eye if you gave him anything other than a real Chinese made transformer(TM).
Great suggestion Dek.

I will have toys to donate to the toy ride....in the next few weeks i'm gonna get them from my folks' house as my mother was somewhat of a hoarder...she always went to the toy district in DTLA to buy toys for gifts but ended up hoarding some......email me if you want to donate one of the toys IF YOU'RE BROKE...if you have a job or can afford it, do not apply....

If you're strapped for cash maybe go in on a toy with another rider? But seriously, GI Joe's and transformers are like 7-10 dollars (I have a nephew I don't know about girls toys but they can't be that much right?). Lego sets are fun. Play-doh (sic?). Now I'm just naming things. Let's make this holiday season kick ass for some kids!

If you can't donate a toy and still want to donate money to our charity or ACTR funds, please donate to allcitytoyride@gmail.com.

I think that's kind of harsh Louis. I think you need a few more beers this morning. I thought we had a pretty good toy turnout last year - am i wrong? the group i rode with even stopped to buy more toys before meeting up with everyone. naysayer.

I thought last year was a pretty good turn out too but we should still send reminders to not only keep that going but to try and top the previous year’s donations. As far as his “harshness” and needing a few beers, well I can’t comment on that except to say maybe this is what we get when he is saving his booze money to buy a toy, in that case – kudos.
Also, some new ridazz may not be aware of the actual charity and toy drive and think this is just a dress up xmass ride.

ALSO<<<< Who remembers the freezing rain last year ?(or the delicious spiced cider!) That could have put a dent in the haul... not the cider that was fucking awesome!

I am going to be the harsh asshole who bumps this thread to remind people: the All City Toy Ride is a charity ride. BRING A TOY FOR A KID. Make it happen. I think last year's haul was good, but the year before that it was really really obvious that a lot of people showed up to party and didn't bring shit. Don't be one of those fucks. If you're one of those fucks, you know who you are. If you're not, bless you and thank you and I'm not talking to you.

What are people bringing for toys? I'm excited about my nerd toys, which fortunately I bought at the beginning of the year when I still had $$$. Too bad I can't find 1 of the stuffed animal birds with Audubon-approved tweets. 1 more week to look for it.
