For those of you who like to complain, it is now time to get into action. LA city planning dept and LADOT are hosting meetings about the 2010 Bike plan.
This Saturday was the first meeting and I was surprised there were not more Ridazz in attendance. There is still time to have your voice herd.

Would anyone be interested in an informal bike plan review sesh, over coffee or drinks?
No complaints, no org associations, just ridazz/commuters/cyclistas who ride every day and want to discuss the plan (make sense out of it) and suggest how it can be improved.
If more than two people seem interested, I'll prepare an invite.

Thanks.
I'll check back in later this evening and prepare an invite.
Koreatown, downtown, Silver Lake, Hollywood...anyone have a preference?
This could be particularly good for planning noobs (like me), who would like to make sense of the plan and what it means for them.

To City of Los Angeles Bicycle Advisory Committee members and other interested persons:
The next meeting of the City BAC is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hollywood Neighborhood City Hall Community Room, 6501 Fountain Avenue in Hollywood. The agenda is attached as well as copied and pasted below.
Since the City Planning Department just concluded today their series of four workshops/public hearings on the revised draft of the 2010 Bicycle Plan, staff will be not be in attendance at the BAC meeting. However, they have provided me with two citywide maps and have encouraged all BAC meeting attendees to mark them with their bikeway comments, which will then be submitted for the official record. As a reminder, all written comments are due by Friday, October 8, 2010 and may be submitted online at http://www.labikeplan.org
Hope to see you at Tuesday's meeting. Thanks for your interest.
