HI people.i never thought id post this happening to me but it did.here at this intersection !@#$?>
View Larger Map i was taking the long way back to dtla on a lovely friday afternoon from my independent studies in whitter to help my training for the border ride when crossing the 60 a car (black 4 door sedan, not much else to remember) mirrored my box (some of you know what im talking about)on the back of my bike while speeding around me pissed and threw me down on the ground. since i had taken the lane a second car hit my bike/box and broke my box (but the box saved my back rim......yay!). they fortionatly stoped to help me and apologised profusely..... i lock my bike in the motel six lot after seeing my deraillure was broken and chain twisted. all else looked good.thanks to The Dudes' girlfriend Denise lending me her helment i escaped with a seriously sore hip, spraned ankle,no cell phone, scraped chin and arm,and my first hit and run/car accident

Glad to hear your ok though man, shit coulda been alot worse off! nothin a little hard work on your bike, if not destroyed, which im sure you wouldnt mind doing, some neosporin or how ever the hell you spell it, and a few beers and time will heal all, other than that time bomb ticking in the back of your dome of the fear of it happening again! stay up hommie!

go to the station and file a police report. even if they cant do anything it helps raise awareness that cyclist are getting hit.

what Larsen said. go file a police report, do not take no for an answer ask for the higher ups until they finally give in because, if you dont file a police report, you are part of the problem!

YET ANOTHER HELMET TESTIMONIAL.
Let me know where your bike is and maybe I can pick it up.
ALSO; get the free helmet, you need it.

File a Police report ASAP!
FYI
God forbid this happens to anyone else, but don't leave the ER without filing a police report.
Tell The ER staff when you check in that you want to file one, and they will get a cop to come and take the report in the ER. They have to do this! Not to mention it is the best way to catch who ever did this. The longer you wait the less impact it will have.

So don't file a police report if you have outstanding warrants. Actually don't ride your bike because if you get hit by a hit n run driver and make a police report, you will wind up in jail. Man that sucks.
