the demonstrators will now go down 5th street from Broadway across the 110 Fwy.
Event: National Day to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation
Assembly Location: Los Angeles & Temple (To Front of Parker Center)
Date: Wednesday October 22, 2008
Time: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Assembly at 10:00 / March Starts at 2:00)
March Route:
- South on Los Angeles Street
- West on First Street
- South on Broadway
- West on 5th Street to MacArthur Park
Anticipate road closures during this march and plan accordingly.

I find it amazing how the Business Improvement District sends these memos out, basically telling the business community that a "demonstration" is coming through. Effectively defusing some of the effectiveness of the demonstration.
I used to "work" with one of the organizers, there is an anarcho-syndicalist chapter that will be participating in this event. They do this every year, and get attacked by the LAPD every time. Everyone, that can, should join in on the fun.
If you follow any kind of anarcho or anti-authoritarian or autonomous belief, they could use your support. Look for the banner that reads: "L(A) Revolucion is Here, Join US!" or Red & Black or Black (A) flags.
It's TODAY, Oct 22nd
Gather at Parker Center: 150 North Los Angeles St. at 12:00PM.
