Has anyone been to this retail shop in Hollywood on Highland Ave?
www.freecitysupershop.com
They just opened recently and I noticed them while riding back home from work.
Neat interesting store. They have a lot of bike art in there shop as well as fixed gear bikes for sale. However there not really a 'bike shop' per se. There clothing is VERY expensive. The have a hoodie for $300 dollars!
Not sure what to make of this store. It's pretty cool in there. There staff is super friendly. However not sure what to make of them using 'bike culture' to sell ridiculously expensive clothing. However, they have really nice art prints of there are that I bought that look nice.
Check the place out. I'm curious in what everyones take on it if you visit there.

a colorful fixed gear is a great fashion accessory to a $300 zip up. i would like to thank midnight ridazz for enabling this.

it's not for hipsters, this crap is for movie stars. The store has been around for 8 years and just moved to the new location you see it at now. The owner just likes bikes, that's all. The clothes are hidieous but they are for high fashion tards and people that have lots of money, not us.My girlfriend used to be the manager of the old store so that's why I, a guy who wears the same jeans for a month straight knows this crap. now, on to more important things.

as a mad men fan and a partner at a marketing company, i think this store is brilliant. the fact that they want to make bikes a central part of their image makes them all the more amazing! i hope they start an empire making selling their hideous $150 sweatpants to rich kids.
seriously though, it's going to be a great day when your most important fashion accessory becomes your bike instead of your car. when these idiot rich kids grow up, i hope there is enough bike infrastructure in this city to keep them riding.
that said, if they ever start selling midnight ridazz clothing, i will cry.

Owners picked a good spot too, having that it's a tourist spot and MR rides run through there. cough cough....

The employees there are fellow cyclist. However they have not been exposed to MR. I asked them about it and they had no clue what MR was.. Maybe that's a good thing.. There front entrance is an open area between office building between Highland and Lexington.. Possible drink and smoke spot for rides while they bask at our culture? Maybe they'll be scared of us.
