just checked the weather forecast and it said there is 30% chance for rain on Friday 10/29.

On its face, threats of rain always seem to be a bummer.
But when its a normally big ride with lots of hardcore fans it is always a blast (if not cold and wet).
Usually only those dedicated to having FUN bother to come in in the rain.
It will no doubt be a smaller group if it is raining, but the group that comes out will be more fun to ride with.

Well at least all the ass-haulers will either stay home or govern their speed down to 10mph.
