 Definitely not a beginner ride.. but absolutely not too strenuous either.
30~40 miles chill Sunday afternoon pace. 2 start points. One for the late risers, and one for those with mas huevos. First meetup is at the Orange Line stop at Canoga around 12 Noon. Second regrouping is at TNS start point in front of Dulux Paints on Reseda and Northridge at around 2:00. First definite food stop is at Food Not Bombs taking place at around 3:00. Maybe an hour to an hour an a half after that will be the second food stop at Trader Joes on Mason and Devonshire with snacks and refreshments available ...

then to Tommie's burgers by six flags, and loop back around past the
Valencia Mall for some parking structure mashin...15-30 miles

 It started last year. I’d come off a pretty lackluster April bike-wise and I vowed to “Bike Every Day In May,” which I did… but that’s not the point.
The point is that besides all the regular workday commuting I did throughout that month-long endeavor, the weekends were for fun, involving a series of group rides that I organized, accompanied usually by a few intrepid souls.  Meeting Location: Chess Park on Brand Blvd. (227 N. Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203).
Ride Duration: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Take your bicycle on a ride through Glendale’s historic neighborhoods with members of the Glendale Historical Society leading the way. The Ride will be about 12 miles, at a slow to moderate pace with multiple stops. Helmets are mandatory. Rain cancels the ride.
Free parking is available in the Orange Street Parking Structure (222 North Orange Street).

Come join us on a fun, slow-paced, ride at 3 p.m. this Saturday, May 1, 2010 to the Eagle Rock Brewery.

Concerns grow over L.A. bike thefts after two cyclists are shot

The concerns about bike thefts in Los Angeles increased Friday as LAPD detectives said they are searching for two men who are responsible for shooting two cyclists who fought the robbers in Koreatown.
One of the victims was so badly wounded during the April 4 robbery that he was only released from the hospital last week, police said.
