I love to go mountain biking at night, but never by myself. So this is our chance for the ultimate fun in 'off
roading'.
Tonight's ride we will be exploring a small section of the Angeles National Forrest.
There will be a few sections where we need to keep our voices down and a very small section where we
may need very minimal lighting.
Be prepared for uphills, fire roads, single tracks, stream crossing, the smell of a forest and amazing views
of the city. So bring you...

If the above title conjures up images of hills, you've got the right idea. There are also a couple of sections of
hard dirt trail
with
rocks strewn here and there. Oh.. I forgot.. there's one healthy set of (up)stairs.
If you don't have gears don't let it deter you; I don't have gears either (well..
one). In fact, I'll probably
be among the slowest riders. So what if we have to push our bikes some?
Good brakes are a must.
Hopefully you'll find the fruits of the ride worth the effort.
There will be a donut/coffee stop.

Loop style about 1.5 miles long. 5 laps, then you have to complete the bonus challenge! One Short but punctuated climb, some fire road a fair
amount of single track and some sections that split and rejoin so you have some choices, not all of them good mind you. Afterwards a raffle

Another ride exploring various ways to get from one area to another that
are either inaccessible to cars or seldom used by them.
Medium pace. Definitely not a mosey.. and not a hustle, but please have fairly decent bike-handling skills and REAL lights as
the usual suspects of bike hazards, narrow passages, and sharp turns will be encountered (sometimes simultaneously).
About 25 miles.
Meet at the S.E. corner of the Chandler Bikeway and Vineland at 6:45PM and ride at 7:15 SHARP.
